We haven’t heard much from former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez since his arrest stemming from a connection with a friend’s death.
But now we’re hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth. Hernandez claims he is innocent.
In a letter he penned to a fan who had spent time in the same jail 15 years before, Hernandez says that the nation will be surprised when he is given a “not guilty” sentence.
“The world just makes things out of false accusations … and it will all die down, especially when they say NOT GUILTY…All the people who turned on me will feel like crap.”
Hernandez also told the fan that God put him in this situation for a reason and he described his plans for when he returns to the NFL.
Good luck with that.
The fan said that he wanted to write to Hernandez to give him some encouragement. And he also told TMZ that he would like to visit the disgraced football star in jail…if Hernandez will have him.
