We all have the option to either live life redundantly without meaning, or to #STANDFORSOMETHING, and last night some of New York City’s movers and shakers chose the latter when they came to check out the launch event of the A/W 13 Dr Martens Campaign, #STANDFORSOMETHING.

The #STANDFORSOMETHING campaign acknowledges the individuals who bring along Dr. Martens on every journey of their life and should be recognized and the turnout of featured eclectic faces of New York’s finest from hip-hoppers to editors and taste makers in true Dr. Martens fashion.

The preview went down at the brand’s Union Square location, but more notable than the delectable finger food and the endless Monkey Shoulder whiskey, were the designs that Doc Marten is serving up for their fall collection. From paisley prints, to patent leather pink and the spiked out originals, there was a little something for just about everyone.

Our favorite pair of the night were these punk pink babies who made their presence known at the DJ booth.

Street artist Nephilim Giant of Street Savvy New York was on the scene putting his custom touch on some Dr. Martens.

Take a closer look at some of the shoes of the night below.

The campaign enters into the lives of 13 people who wear the boots and shoes with pride and passion. To each individual, their Dr. Martens are an empowering mark of something worth standing for. The campaign features a real mix of characters spanning varied ages (21 to 70), backgrounds, occupations and personalities.
