God always gets us through the worst of times, and our girl Kelly Rowland’s recent boat experience is no exception.
Kelly Rowland recently admitted that there was a moment she feared for her life when the boat she was on got lost at sea. The “Dirty Laundry” singer revealed her thought process during an interview with People Magazine at the Television Critics Association meeting:
“I remember thinking to myself, ‘Lord, please don’t let this boat capsize. Please let us get to shore in one safe, sound piece. I just want to see tomorrow.”
Kelly was on a whale watching cruise with friends when they lost sight of the boat they’d been following.
It was 1:35 p.m. when Kelly and her friends tried to call for help on their cellphones, but since they were so far from shore, no one had a signal.
“I was like, ‘Please, Lord, give me two bars,'” she remembers. “He gave me two bars and we contacted some folks that were on land and they helped us.”
We don’t blame Kelly if she never wants to get back on a boat again!
