Not everyone is down for the twerk.
Especially this California mom who, upon finding out that her daughter was getting her Miley Cyrus on at the school dance, decided to punish her in the most embarrassing way.
Frances Hena made her 11-year-old daughter Jamie stand at a busy intersection with a sign informing passing cars that she “was disrespecting my parents by twerking at a school dance.”
Apparently Hena, aware of the twerk phenomena, had warned her daughter not to gyrate whatever 11-year-old booty she think she has and Jamie – probably malleable to the influential and wonderful culture of 2013 – did so anyway.
“That’s ridiculous to even think that’s okay at a school dance,” Hena told ABC News. “When she’s 18, she can do whatever she wants. As of right now, that’s not something she’s going to be doing.”
Hena is also mad at the school for allowing her young daughter to twerk with abandon at an official function.
“I haven’t heard anything from the school still, and it’s just ridiculous to think that’s okay at a school dance,” she said.
The mother wants the school to implement a strict “no twerking” policy. And as for Jamie, we’re sure she won’t twerk again until she’s 21 and out of her mother’s house.
