Halloween is cool and all, but some people just take it too damn far.

We’re all for the ghouls, the goblins and the screams, but a Mustang, Oklahoma home gave neighbors such a fright that they called 911. Johnnie Mullins’ bloody-bodies-strewn-in-the-driveway display was enough to almost give his neighbors a heart attack and though he claims it was all in fun, nobody is laughing with him.

“My heart about came out of my chest. I thought ‘Oh my God,'” said neighbor Rebecca Fuentes. “If I think it’s real, just think of what a child would think?”

But Mullins didn’t mean any harm. He says he was “only trying to scare people.”

“That’s what I like to do,” Mullins told a local news station in defense of his “fake bodies meet a bloody demise” prank.

The children “don’t freak out or anything,” Mullins insists.

He’s since added another body to his work of art. And the police officers who responded to 911 calls were “nice about it” and even told him he wasn’t doing anything illegal.

We can all agree that the display is disgusting and distasteful. But what bothers us the most is that the kids aren’t fazed by any of it…which is the real scare of it all.

Do you think Mullins took it too far? Sound off below.
