Oh Em Gee! Halloween is like, this week, and you haven’t gotten a chance to shop for a costume, have to work late every night, yet have social obligations that ironically require a costume. You have two options.

1. Be the grumpy holiday hater you are and opt out of dressing up.

2. Work with what you have.

We’re going to suggest you go with 2. Because you don’t know how what you already own can work  – until you make it work!

Keeping your busy life and minimal budget in mind, we have scraped together inspiration to help you dress up like 3 badass women from TV and film.

First Up: Carmen Sandiego. The simple costume is the perfect amount of cover up for the work place (with black pants) or perfect for the bar after work with added knee-high boots. Pair the yellow scarf with the look so there is no confusing you with Red Coat from the ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars.

Disclaimer: Be ready for people to spew geographic clues at you all night.

Audrey Hepburn:

If you’re a girly girl, you’re probably always looking for an excuse to bring glam to the next level. Marilyn Monroe? Done that. Disney princess? Been there. But here is another addition to the uses your LBD can have. You already look great in it, now just add a few accessories as shown above, add a pop of color on the lip and walk with an air of elegance all night long.

Disclaimer: Don’t try to get your cat involved.

Olivia Pope: OK, so we are like totally obsessed with Kerry Washington, but since we know we can’t actually attempt to hold a torch to recreating her flawless red carpet looks, we will just have to deal with being the ever-so-awesome Olivia Pope instead. The essence of Olivia? White, great coats and sleek dress pants.

Disclaimer: Make sure that hair is laid with the precision of Olivia Pope’s, if not, you might as well say at home, drink wine and daydream about President Obama.
