To celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of hip-hop’s most influential albums, Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man went back to the block to reminisce about the collective’s debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Method Man took the good folks of Grantland to where it all began – Staten Island’s Park Hill Projects. The “Shame On A N*gga” emcee reminisced about his past as a drug dealer and being a “hood celebrity” before becoming a hip-hop legend.

Meth also discussed how RZA produced 36 Chambers and talked about how none of the members of Wu-Tang heard the album until the project was completely finished.

In an effort to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Wu-Tang performed at this year’s Coachella back in April, among many other summer music festivals.
