Ah, Claire’s. Many of us got our ears pierced in your jam-packed stores, and you always proved to be the perfect destination to find those tiaras we just swore we needed for Sweet 16s and Junior Prom. And now? Now, you will be the home to Katy Perry’s designs.
Teenage fans of both Claire’s and Katy Perry will be pleased to learn the retailer is teaming up with the pop star for a brand spanking new collaboration.
Today, WWD revealed that the singer is teaming up with Claire’s on a line of accessories inspired by her new album. Perry will be designing the line herself, which reportedly includes “limited-edition items, seasonal novelty pieces, collectibles, and products inspired by the lyrics and titles of [her] greatest hits.”
Claire’s will begin stocking the collection in-store and online starting at the launch of her tour in May up until 2016, with the inventory updated throughout.
With Perry’s collaboration and the recent revelation in Vogue that Rihanna buys her jewelry from Claire’s, the store is definitely having a revival moment. Here’s to hoping for a RiRi <3s Katy necklace.
