Michael Brown Sr. is once again calling for peace in Ferguson prior to the grand jury’s announcement on the fate of Darren Wilson.

According to ABC News, Brown’s plea comes after several protestors were arrested overnight for allegedly fighting with police officers. On Wednesday, at least six protestors were arrested. Reports also came in that Wilson is expected to resign over the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Brown pleaded with the people of Ferguson to be peaceful no matter what the announcement is and to issue their frustrations into invoking positive change in the community:

“Hurting others and destroying others is not the answer,” Brown says in the video. “No matter what the grand jury decides, I do not want my son’s death to be in vain. I want it to lead to incredible change, positive change, change that makes the St. Louis region better for everyone.”

The jury met earlier today (November 21) to begin their deliberations. An announcement is expected to come this weekend.
