Two officers are under an internal investigation after they allegedly used excessive force on an 11-year-old girl during their response to a call made from her home.

According to WFTV, the 11-year-old girl was laying on her bed, watching television, when the officers came through the garage door entrance to the Groveland home. The unidentified girl explained to authorities of how the officers approached her:

“One of the officers was pushing me down, and when he was pushing me down, he put his knee on me and the other officer had his gun pointed at me.”

Jean Guirand, her father, responded to the incident, expressing his anger over the situation:

“Someone should get fired for doing something like that.”

James Festa and John Rigdon are the officers involved in the alleged incident, and are reported to be three-year veterans of the force. They both have a history of problems on their files, which includes filing false police reports.
