Belieb it or not, Justin Bieber has a heart.
The 21-year-old pop sensation took a stand for Kylie Jenner, the youngest member of the Kardashian crew, when her recent Instagram post was attacked by Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg and thousands of other angry commenters two days ago. The photo pictured Kylie’s hair in cornrows along with the caption, “I woke up like disss.” She was criticized for appropriating Black features and undermining the real issues regarding racism in today’s society.

Amandla’s comment read:
“when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter”
But according to Bieber, bashing Jenner for her “right to wear braids” is not the answer. He of all people understands what it feels like to live your life under a microscope, and he’s sympathizing with Kylie. He reminded followers that “we’re all trying to figure it out” and urged people to focus on the bigger picture, not a 17-year-old’s Instagram.
Bieber’s comment went viral on Twitter. It read:
