Heightened police presence threatens Tommy and Diamond’s bottom line and they form a coalition with a rival gang. Jenard hits rock bottom, and the Flynns family loyalties are tested with devastating results.

DIAMOND & JENARD SAMPSON

Jenard is in desperation mode! He’s found himself in a spot where he and his crew don’t have any product left and no one willing to front them any. His men inform him that no one wants to work with him because he’s getting high and Miguel isn’t rocking with him anymore. Jenard tells them that he’s got it under control as long as they stay loyal. Meanwhile at Slick’s diner, Diamond is alerted that someone named Big Sid is in the hospital. Before he can even fully process the news, two of Jenard’s former Treason members come in blasting the joint up. They hit several innocent bystanders in the midst of the attack. When Tommy pulls up to Diamond’s shop, he’s hipped to the situation. Apparently the shooters flipped to the RDs (a gang that used to be one with CBI before their split in 1994). Diamond goes on to explain how he was in prison with the leader of the RDs, King Kilo and how they used to talk about starting a coalition of all the gangs in Chicago. Diamond tells Tommy he’ll have Kendra make the connection for them. When we see Jenard again in this episode, he’s in an old CBI territory. He ends up pistol whipping and robbing Manny for two bricks and her chain that her father gave her. He then pulls back up on his Treason guys with the work and makes them believe he got it from Miguel. Raheem notices that Jenard is rocking Manny chains and mentions it. Jenard ignores it and states that it’s his. Kendra does her job and delivers a phone to Kilo in the joint. Diamond brings up the coalition idea that they had floated around while they were locked up together. Kilo agrees but only if he can get half the business in the joint. When Diamond relays the message to Tommy, he immediately hangs up the phone. Tommy feels like there has to be a better way than sucking up to Kilo. Tommy tells Diamond to give him some time to think things through. Before Tommy leaves, Diamond warns him that he has to do something about D-Mac or else he will. For the second time in the episode, an OG tells Diamond that Big Sid is in the hospital and that he needs to go see him. This time, Diamond seems to take heed. He calls Jenard but doesn’t get an answer. This prompts him to reach out to Shanti, who will probably have a better shot at reaching Jenard. When Jenard arrives at Shanti’s gym, she can tell that he’s on some type of drugs although he declines. Shanti forgets about it and shares that Big Sid is in the hospital. Jenard immediately leaves and heads over. It’s unveiled that Big Sid is actually the Sampson boys’ father. It doesn’t take long to see that there’s no love lost between Diamond and his father. The two begin to argue about various things of the past including Sid not wanting to be a father, Diamond being a corner boy and whose fault it is that Jenard’s in the game. The argument gets even more heated when Diamond admits that he only came to see if Sid was actually dying because it would be a dream come true. Sid starts coughing crazy to the point that the doctors have to enter the room. He yells dramatically for Diamond to leave. Jenard arrives at the hospital and sees that Diamond is there so he leaves. He goes to pick up some drugs but his plug is all out. Jenard ends up catching up to the person who copped the last bit before him. He trades him the chain that he took from Manny for the drugs. At first, Jenard snorts the drugs. When the white boy notices, he puts Jenard on something different and injects the drugs into him with a needle. Sid wakes up and Diamond is still sitting there by his side. The two end up making amends after Sid tells Diamond some truths that he never spoke of before. He tells Diamond that he always hated him because he didn’t need him and he’d always be okay on his own. He also mentioned how Jenard wasn’t as strong as him so he wanted Diamond to make sure he always watched out for him. Tommy pulls up to the hospital to show support. Him and Diamond discuss him handling D-Mac and getting the coalition in motion. He says he’s all the way in under one condition…they supply all the drugs. Jenard finally shows up and unfortunately, their father is dead. Jenard can’t help but to break down and cry. Diamond tells his younger brother all the things that his father said about him before he passed. Jenard and Diamond make up. Diamond tells Jenard that they’d love to have him back in CBI. Is it a good idea letting Jenard back in? If Jenard is back in CBI, does the rest of Treason follow him? Will the coalition work out how Kilo, Diamond and Tommy expect?

THE FLYNNS

Vic is about to make his way to Claudia’s penthouse to meet with her and Doyle when he is picked up by the cops. Detective DiFranco and Detective Tseng tell him that they have an eye witness that he killed someone and he’s looking at first degree murder and life without parole if he’s convicted. Vic doesn’t fold. He tells the cops that he wants his lawyer. When Vic finally shows up to Claudia’s, Doyle introduces him to Big Red (the deadliest assassin in Dublin) and tells him the plan they’ve cooked up. Vic’s job is to get to dinner by 8 and keep his father occupied until the shooters arrive at 9. Claudia tells him that he has to make sure to be out of there a few minutes before 9. She instructs him to meet her at a local pub so that they both have an alibi. The siblings note that their father recently fired Paulie so he won’t be there. While Claudia and Doyle have early “celebratory” sex, Claudia looks out the window of her penthouse and it seems that she realizes everything she’s been waiting for is so close. When they’re done, she mentions how she can’t wait to be running the Flynn organization. Doyle breaks it to her that Dublin will never let her be in charge, especially not as long as Vic is still alive. Doyle tells Claudia that the timeline has been pushed up by 30 minutes because of the fog. In this moment, it’s written all over Claudia’s face that she is conflicted but she tells Doyle that she’ll take care of her brother. When Vic arrives at dinner, he’s surprised to see that Paulie and Walter have made amends and his uncle is present. He tries to get Paulie to go grab some celebratory scotch but it doesn’t work. He then steps out to call Claudia and update her on the situation. While they’re on the phone, Claudia doesn’t tell Vic about the time chane. In fact, he doubles down on the original time. The Dublin shooters arrive early and start shooting. Walter and Paulie immediately load up. Vic tries to stop Paulie from following Walter but it doesn’t work. Paulie responds and tells Vic that they’re family no matter what and he’d do it 1000 times over. Paulie is the first one outside. He kills three of the Dublin shooters before he is eventually shot and killed himself, falling into the pool. A shoot out commences as Big Red spots Vic and starts shooting at him. Walter comes out of the house lighting things up. Him and Big Red shoot each other at the same time. Big Red runs out of ammunition and Walter eventually kills him. When the shoot out is over, Vic comes out. Walter angrily yells at him exclaiming that It’s all Claudia’s fault. He mentions how Paulie seen Claudia and Doyle together. Before he can finish monologue, Vic interrupts him and tells him that it’s all actually his fault. Walter calls Vic a disgrace and says he doesn’t have any heart. As she turns around to walk away, Vic blasts him in the chest. Vic then explains to his father that it was both of them who betrayed him before killing his father. Vic makes his way to the pub that him and Claudia were supposed to meet at. She isn’t there at 9:35 when Vic checks his phone for the time. He realizes that his sister set him to be killed. At the penthouse, Claudia and Doyle both are concerned because they aren’t hearing back from anybody. When Vic arrives, they’re both shocked. Doyle tells Vic that the hit was moved up an hold an hour. Vic lets him know that he wasn’t informed. Realizing that she’s about to get caught, Claudia flips it on Doyle. Before he can speak the truth, Claudia shoots Doyle in the brain and kills him. Although he knows she’s lying, Vic still hugs his sister. What will Claudia do now that Vic isn’t dead? Will her or Vic have to answer for the deaths of Doyle and the Dublin shooters?

KATE, JP & D-MAC

The episode begins with Tommy doing his best to calm his nephew down. D-Mac is in complete shock after finding out that he killed a cop. Tommy informs him that Diamond took care of the body and orders him to stay low in the house while he figures out what to do. In the midst of a conversation with Tommy, Diamond spots D-Mac outside of the shop talking to cops. Tommy is so infuriated with his nephew that he starts to rough him up a bit when they get back home. JP enters the room and is understandably confused. JP tries to tell Tommy he can’t put his hands on D-Mac or speak to him a certain type of way. Tommy reveals that D-Mac just made the biggest mistake of his life. With Kate now home too, Tommy tells his brother that he’ll tell him more when he can and to not let D-Mac out of the house. As D-Mac sits on the couch miserable, Grandma Kate comes to comfort her grandson. On top of not being able to leave the house, Genesis isn’t hitting him back. After he expresses what’s going on with him to Kate, she throws him some money and tells him to go pick her up some cigarettes and take how ever long he wants. Tommy arrives back at the crib to find that D-Mac isn’t there. JP notices Tommy’s anger and asks him to let him know exactly what’s going on. Tommy tells him that D-Mac killed a cop. The brothers get into a slight argument about who’s to blame for D-Mac’s actions. Tommy makes sure that JP understands that if he doesn’t handle the situation, their whole family will go down. Tommy texts Big Smurf and tells him that he needs him to do something for him. D-Mac pulls up to where Genesis is but before he can get to her, he’s snatched up by Big Smurf and thrown into the back of a van. After Big Smurf confirms that they handled the situation, Tommy pleads with JP not to say anything to Kate. He feels like she’ll mess everything up. When Tommy gets back home from visiting Diamond at the hospital, Kate is stressing because D-Mac isn’t returning her texts or calls. Tommy tells her that she should get used to it. He tells her that he knows that D-Mac deliberately disobeyed him and she helped. He tells her that he’s gone and he isn’t coming back. Kate immediately assumes that Tommy killed D-Mac and begins to cry and try to hit Tommy. JP comes in and stops her, adding that it had to be done. Thinking she knows exactly what happened, Kate says that she raised animals. JP corrects her and lets her know that whether they’re animals or not, she didn’t raise them. Tommy threatens Kate that she won’t say or do anything about what she knows or he’ll have to do something else that he doesn’t want to do. Kate is so shaken up by the events that just transpired that she relapses and reverts back to doing coke. Contrary to what Kate thought, D-Mac is taken to a boarding school. Big Smurf hands him a phone and Tommy is on the line. Tommy tells his nephew that this is what happened when you mess up as badly as he did and makes it clear that D-Mac can’t come back until he thinks it’s cool. How long will D-Mac have to stay at the boarding school? Will he find trouble there? Is Kate officially a druggie again?

MIGUEL & MIREYA GARCIA, THE MEXICANS & THE SERBS

One of the women who was severely shot at Slick’s diner was rushed to Mireya’s hospital. She doesn’t end up pulling through and Mireya is clearly shaken up about it. She expresses this to Kendall, who is very insensitive of her feelings. Their conversation turns into a heated discussion. Mireya admits that she doesn’t love him and pretty much breaks up with him right then and there. Kendall gets a bit aggressive and grabs her while talking. Unfortunately for him, Miguel was watching the whole interaction. He would have approached Kendall if Mireya didn’t tell him to let it go. Later that night, Kendall returned home and surprisingly Miguel and one of his henchman were there. Miguel uses one of Kendall’s medical excellence trophies to break both of his hands, leaving a clear message. Will Mireya breaking up with Kendall make her run into Tommy’s arms? How long will it take Miguel to find out about Mireya and Tommy?

THE FEDS

Seeing that he wasn’t going to easily fold, Attorney Marks orders Detectives DiFranco and Tseng to let Vic go. When discussing her strategy with her husband, she mentions that she knows Vic and Tommy have worked together before and they will again. Her plan is to give Vic some rope, just to stand back and let him ruin things for himself. Her ploy seemed to work just how she might have planned. At the end of the episode, Vic shows up to her office to talk. He tells her to let him know what he has to do. Before she can even answer, she gets notifications and messages about the Flynn shooting. Vic explains how he barely escaped the attack, his father is dead and his sister tried to kill him. Vic goes on to say that he wants to get out of the game and start a new life. He brings up the promise he made to Gloria before she was killed. He demands immunity and tells Marks that he can hand Claudia over to her. He specified that he wanted his sister to suffer in jail since death would be too easy. Stacy lets Vic know that the only way he’ll get full immunity is if he infiltrates CBI and gets them as much as he can on Tommy Egan. Unsuprisingly, Vic agrees! How useful will Vic be the task force? Will Tommy and CBI welcome Vic back in with open arms? Let us know what you thought about this episode and what you think will happen on the next one in the comments!
