With 2014 experiencing one unforgettable winter, this summer is predicted to be just as insane.

According to a new report by The Old Farmer’s Almanac, it’s going to be a very hot and humid summer. The hottest moments will fall under mid- to late June and early to mid-July, meaning that the summer of 2014 will be the hottest in years. With predictions of rain in the beginning of the season, we still think it’s way better than donning infinity scarves and multiple layers.

There’s always those skeptics that prefer winter over summer, but why would you want that? Winter is merely a season you enjoy in hindsight so you can avoid all that slushy snow.

Need another reason to love insanely hot summers? No worries, here’s ten.

1. You can finally get out of this..

And enjoy this.

2. It’ll be easier to get up in the morning when you’re not bundled under all those blankets.

 3. It’s a lot better for you to get into the habit of eating delicious summer fruits and ah yes, cool smoothies.

4. The only cold you have to worry about is the feeling of getting into the water for the first time.

5. You finally get out of the house. Who stays inside when there’s a million food trucks to sample?

6. You can take your friends to that new hot spot you read about.

7. YOU. GET. TO. TAN. THE. RIGHT. WAY.

8. And do what you really came to the beach for.

9. The ever popular cuffing season is over, so you can stop liking all her pictures of sad lunches and take her on a real date.

10. And finally, you’re able to show off the body you’ve been working hard at the gym for.

So why complain about a hot summer? Let’s make sure we enjoy it while it lasts. It will be over before we know it.
