According to TMZ, the young rapper was arrested in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn in June after police spotted him with firearms. When they arrived to investigate, Shmurda hid the weapons in a couch in an apartment.
Police eventually recovered a 9mm Glock pistol, and a magazine for it which contained 14 rounds.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, says the paper, a charge that could land him 15 years in prison.
In other gun-related news, someone fired two shots in a parking lot Wednesday during a Shmurda nightclub appearance in New Jersey.
Bobby Shmurda fans heard gun shots ring out early this morning during his nightclub appearance last night in New Jersey … as a drive-by shooter opened fire.
Police say shortly before 2 AM … someone driving out of the Club Eden parking lot in Roselle, NJ fired 2 shots … and set off a chaotic mess. Three different police departments had to respond to control the crowd.
According to cops … about 200 people were packed in the lot and became “unruly and agitated” when officers tried to clear the area.
Bobby was not there when cops responded.
No one was injured in Wednesday’s incident.
