B$B crew member B$B Banga was reportedly fatally injured from a gunshot wound he received at T.I.’s Irving Plaza concert in New York City.

Last night, news broke of a shooting at Irving Plaza around 10 p.m. EST, with initial reports citing three people were shot, one critically. Shortly thereafter, WPIX 11 News confirmed there were four shooting victims, including one woman hit in the leg.

New York Police Department Commissioner Bill Bratton blamed the shooting on “so-called rap artists who are basically thugs.”

“The crazy world of the so-called rap artists who are basically thugs that basically celebrate the violence they live all their lives,” Bratton said during a radio interview on WCBS 880 Thursday morning. “Unfortunately, that violence often manifests itself during the performances and that’s exactly what happened last evening.”

Word quickly spread that Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave and his crew were responsible for the shooting, but later reports confirmed Troy Ave was a victim; he was grazed by a bullet.

Now, reports are saying B$B Banga (real name Ronald McPhatter) received a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.

The New York Post reports:

Ronald McPhatter, 33, was shot in the stomach and was declared dead at Beth Israel Hospital, a source said. Christopher Vinson, 34, was shot in the chest and taken to Bellevue, sources said.

RIP to B$B Banga and condolences to Troy Ave and their entire team.
