Tragic news is surfacing out of Mississippi, as a girl named Jessica Chambers was found dead after being burned alive on a rural road.
According to reports, officials discovered the 19-year-old teen with 98% of her body covered in burns, as she was reported to have been doused in gasoline before being set on fire.
While her death was a week ago, the police have admitted that they are not much closer to finding a suspect, and said that there is still a lot that they don’t know.
Tons of family and friends gathered for her funeral this weekend, with many in attendance wearing “Justice For Jessica” t-shirts.
Before her funeral, her father, Ben Chambers, has this to say about the person who killed her:
‘They just don’t realize how they’ve messed up people’s lives. You know, they took something from me that God give me that can’t nobody replace.’
Ninety minutes prior to her death, Jessica was seen on surveillance at a local gas station. In addition to that footage, police are looking into her cell phone, which was left behind at the scene. As of right now, there is an $11,000 reward for anyone who has crucial information about the case.
