Hell froze over and Armageddon is here.

In spite of running a campaign fueled on hate, racism and lies, Donald J. Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States, defeating Hillary Clinton. The Democratic candidate reportedly conceded to Trump via phone call around 2AM EST on Wednesday.

“I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us — it’s about us — on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard fought campaign. She fought very hard,” he said. “We owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”

He continued, “Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division. It’s time for us to come together as one united people. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president to all Americans. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there are a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help.”

“Ours was not a campaign, but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of hard working people who want a better, brighter future for themselves and their families. .. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. … America will no longer settle for anything less than the best.”

Trump was able to carve a shocking path to victory by winning several key battleground states that experts had swinging blue and as a result, after eight years of Barack Obama, the White House will return to the Republican party.

The shock amongst voters and experts is real and many simply do not know how to react. Tears of horror and sadness are overflowing in homes across America and especially in the Jacob Javits Center in NYC, where Clinton’s election night rally is taking place. What was expected to be a rousing victory party has turned into a wake.

It looks like life is going to change quite a bit for many Americans.
