At this point, it should go without saying that Christian Louboutin is one of the most famous shoe designers in the world. Any celebrity and working woman with a little bit of change has probably worn one or more of his shoes in the last decade.
Although his popularity seems very current, Christian Louboutin and his patented “red bottom” shoes have been around for over 20 years. And although you’re always seeing his shoes everywhere, everything gets produced by hand in a small work space in Paris not very far from his newly purchased and skylight-filled home.

The Selby got a chance to get a few pictures of not only Christian’s new home, but a few from his workroom – a place intimate enough that it almost seems wrong to call it a factory. We got a chance to see the clean canvas that Christian will be working with before decorating his home, as well as the materials needed to make each pair of his iconic shoes.
