It looks like those folks that just bought the new iPhone 5 are going to have to go back to square one!

A new design for the popular mobile phone has been released, and while it’s just a sketched out blueprint, it still gives a whole new outlook to the phone.

The design shows a phone with nearly no side bumpers, with the screen actually wrapping around the front, deleting the use for buttons.

The Huffington Post reveals:

Apple Inc.’s patent filing shows a phone similar to a flattened tube of glass, inside of which a display envelops the chips and circuit board. This allows “functionality to extend to more than one surface of the device,” the filing said. The design also means there’s no frame or bezel surrounding the display, meaning it can take up more of the device’s surface area.

While this looks like a dope idea, it’s just a patent design, which means that it may never see the light of day.

Well, we can only dream for now! Maybe this time the patent will come through and we will have sideless iPhones!

Are you guys feeling the new design?
