Since his campaign in Michigan started, Mitt Romney has received the endorsement of Republican Governor of Arizona Jan Brewer, which may have helped him attain this victory.

Newt Gingrich deliberately avoided campaigning in Michigan and Arizona, due to the small possibility of actually winning a significant amount of delegates.

Instead he is focusing on his home state of Georgia which he represented in Congress as Speaker of the House. Tonight Gingrich gave a speech to his supporters at West Georgia College in Carrollton, Georgia where he was nearly an hour late.

With his campaign arguing that he has the ability to pull in a significant amount of delegates, Ron Paul did not neglect the Michigan and Arizona primaries to the extent Gingrich did.

Super Tuesday is next Tuesday and is usually the final statement on who will secure the nomination. Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are the only two candidates that will be on Virginia’s ballot for Super Tuesday.
