First Lady Michelle Obama made our country proud yet again, stepping out in a teal off-the-shoulder silk draped column gown to the State Dinner honoring British Prime Minister David Cameron at the White House last night.

The gown was Marchesa, a label co-founded by British-born, New York-based designer Georgina Chapman, who also attended with her husband, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The First Lady’s statement necklace was designed by Tom Binns, a White House aide said.

Also dressed in blue was the Prime Minister’s wife Samantha Cameron. She looked gorgeous in a three-quarter sleeve patterned dress with a belt by by London-based Italian designer Alessandra Rich paired with black heels from Next.

Both the UK Prime Minister and the President wore tuxedos. According to press, President Obama turned to his wife as the Camerons arrived and said, “They look better than us.” Not!
