So it’s been a minute… Too long… Especially since the last entry was my first entry. And I want to go from “Fame-ish” to “Famous”. And I know I’m not goingdo that unless more people know who I am. And this is a great outlet for me to do that so note to self (and technically everyone else) Write here more!!!

Now that that’s out of the way… Let me tell you a little bit about what I’ve been doing because I’ve been staying on my grizzly. Steady rocking shows with Mirk and the New Familiars, writing/recording new material for our up coming album, starting Foster House Records, turning a kitchen to a closet, turning a room into a kitchen, working with Avid Artist Management to create the first IPK(Interactive Press Kit), flying from NY to TX, driving from TX to NY, 1 camping trip with the fam, 2 camping festivals with the band, doing a couple photo shoots, performing at the ballet, recording a live radio concert, going over the edge for the NYS Special Olympics, marrying music and marketing in a new fresh way, making beats, writing songs, making history… You know life…

The shows have been fun! We love the people that come out and show support! If you’re there, you know the connection we have… One of those gigs was at The Ballet Gala pre-party at SPAC in Saratoga.

Because when you think of the Ballet, you think of Mirk!! Hip Pop Soul meets highbrow doe… We did a show at The Linda Theater in Albany, which was recorded and then later broadcast on Albany’s NPR affiliate station WAMC.

We rocked to help rebuild Tess’ Lark Tavern, a staple performance venue in our city that recently had a fire… You may have noticed a couple adds for them embedded into the mp3’s on the free download of “Love/Live a 2 pt trilogy”… We love you Tess, and hope you can re-open soon!!

I’ve been recording steady with Mirk and the New Familiars. Lots of new music happening! This new album (yet to be titled) is going to be fuego!!! I’ve been making beats with sequencers for a while, but now that I have the band rocking with me, it’s like I get to make beats with them…

I know that sounds like a funny thing to call producing a record, but because of how I got my start, this is my perspective. I’m fulfilling my vision and it’s coming together just as I imagined if not better!

Starting this label has been a dream of mine for a long time… The music is there, and now that we’ve partnered up with the Avid Agencies, we have the remaining infrastructure needed to make it a reality. We have several artists in many genres, across the country and the world that you should be looking out for from, Chi-town, Queens, Albany, LA, & London… Foster House Records isn’t a local grind it’s a “Global Grind”!

Til’ next time Keep Grinding…
