If Amanda Bynes recorded a hip-hop album, or any album for that matter, would you listen?

Well, the polarizing celebrity may have a deal in the works if Daniel Herman of Chinga Chang Records has his way, as Sony Entertainment and The Orchard both gave him the green light to pursue Amanda as an artist. But why, exactly?

Here’s what Mr. Chinga Chang had to say. Read carefully because this is funny.

“I cleared the project with The Orchard and Sony Entertainment and they gave me the green light to go ahead. The fact that Amanda wants to do hip hop music means that Chinga Chang label is the best place for her to do this, because of my past experience with bringing pop and legitimate hip hop together.”

We’re not sure how Amanda and legitimate hip-hop go together, but hey! We do know Amanda is interested in recording an album, since she said as much during a recent interview.

Chinga goes on to say:

“I think that she’s more gangster than Drake.”

Did he seriously just compare her to rap heavyweight DRAKE?

There are probably lots of people out there who are “more gangster than Drake,” Amanda Bynes not being one of them, but does that mean they should record a rap album?
