As we mentioned earlier, last week at Drake‘s listening party Lil’ Wayne phoned in a verse from jail over the Jay-Z collabo ‘Light Up.’ Last night on his Ustream, Drake played the verse for his fans. Over the Tone Mason & 40-produced track, Wayne goes in, spitting lines like ‘Behind bars but the bars don’t stop/Recordin’ over the phone hope the call don’t drop’ and ‘I’m in a cell, reading fanmail/Wishin I was in Amsterdam sipping Amstel.’ If this verse is anything to go by, Weezy’s time at Riker’s has only made him a hungrier, more focused emcee. Wayne is set to be released from jail in November.
