Taraji P. Henson tested out her newest look on Instagram, flaunting some pretty gaudy black shades and her killer new bangs. The 44-year-old actress (who plays matriarch Cookie) posted the photo in anticipation of Empire’s season 2 premiere on Fox, airing on September 23rd, 2015.

Jon Stewart chose Amy Schumer to be one of his last guests on Monday’s Daily Show, and as per usual, she was hilarious. But when it came time to talk about the shooting that took place during a Louisiana screening of her film, leaving two women dead and nine people injured, the 34-year-old comedian opened up to Stewart about her reaction and views on gun control. Watch their conversation above.

Legendary television director Eric Dean Seaton is bringing us Legend of the Mantamaji, a live-action short filled with brilliant art, action-packed adventure, true-to-life characters, and a smart and twisting plot line. The short follows a mystical warrior known as Mantamaji, who tries to single-handedly stop a masked gang from attacking New York City. His powers are untested and he’s outgunned, but you’ll have to watch for yourself to see if he can survive his first big challenge.

HBO is upping the ante, casting veteran actor Max von Sydow as the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven in hit series Game of ThronesSydow has earned two Oscar nominations for 1987’s Pelle the Conqueror and 2011’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, along with two Golden Globe nominations, one for 1973’s The Exorcist. It’s safe to say the 86-year-old actor wears many hats, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for his newest role in GOT.

Paramount Pictures recently bought the rights to Ronda Rousey’s bestselling book My Fight/Your Fight, and has hired Wolverine screenwriter Mark Bomback to adapt it into a screenplay. Rousey is set to star as herself in the upcoming film, which will follow her challenging path to become the number one female MMA fighter in the world.

Rousey recently defended her bantamweight title on Saturday, knocking out opponent Bethe Correia in just 34 seconds during a UFC fight in Rio de Janeiro. The 28-year-old kick-ass fighter is expected to see one more battle before the end of the year.
