I’ve tried my best to hold my tongue but I guess in actuality it’s time to chime in. I’ve read so many blogs, heard mixed opinions as to the Derrion Albert situation. Its sad to say but in the video I saw only one thing, HATE!
Any kind of hate is inexcusable and intolerable. It hurts even more to know that it was black on black crime. As a parent of 2 young boys, I was deeply touched by seeing this type of nonsense going on in our community. Yes, I recognize there are lives being lost to gang violence everywhere but at some point we must take a stand. I know my words may not be as uplifting as the next person, so I will leave it to the words of Martin Luther King:
