Nicki Minaj decided to name her album in honor of the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, but it won’t be black at all. Nicki Minaj has declared the Friday after Thanksgiving as Pink Friday. The highly-anticipated album is set for release on November 23, the Tuesday before Black Friday in the U.S. That is traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year when Americans flock to stores to begin their Christmas shopping.

“To carry on a great tradition of Black Friday, we are going to switch it up this year in honor of the Nicki Minaj album and call that day Pink Friday, and call my album Pink Friday,” Nicki announced in her British accent.

She then signed off with her signature greeting. “It’s Barbie, bitch!”
