A 12-year-old girl has given birth to a baby and a 74-year-old man has been charged for impregnating her.
A pensioner from a neighboring village in Qiyang, Hunan province, China was arrested after police say that a DNA test proved he’s the father of the young girl’s baby.
However, the 12-year-old is saying that he isn’t.
Her family believes that the 74-year-old was forced to confess to the heinous crime by corrupt police that wanted to protect the actual rapists.
The 12-year-old also stated that the father of her child is one of her three school teachers that repeatedly raped her. She even recalled seeing her three teachers hand over money to the policemen that were investigating her case.
Moreover, she said her head teacher forced her to remain quiet by threatening her.
The 74-year-old has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
