A 15-year-old Richmond, CA teenager was arrested after police found him carrying a Uzi submachine gun.

According to NBC Bay Area, cops spotted the teen pull the machine gun from his waistband. Officers were in the 900 block of Ninth Street around 4 p.m. when they saw the teen – who had an outstanding no-bail warrant on him.

The Richmond teen was arrested for possession of a firearm and on an outstanding arrest warrant, and taken to juvenile hall in Martinez. He will be charged with possession of a firearm.

Little is known about the suspect, but after police ran into the suspect’s friend’s home to arrest him, they told reporters that he was uncooperative and refused to give any details about the gun.

With fading gun laws, we’re happy that they were able to arrest the boy before anyone was hurt.
