This past Sunday was March 9. We can’t believe it’s been 17 years since the greatest Hip-Hop artist in this generation left us. When I heard this new Skrillex record featuring Chance The Rapper, “Coast Is Clear,” it definitely took me back. Over the dope track, Chance rhymes and sings the phrase “What your interests are…who you be with…”, the infamous phrase the Notorious B.I.G. immortalized on the hit “Big Poppa.” Just enjoy these 2 music geniuses and watch this become a smash as the weather heats up.

Since he has laced everyone who is anyone in the world of Hip-Hop (and some R&B acts too) it seemed only right DJ Mustard come with his own music right? Riding on the success of his production on YG’s “My N*gga,” Mustard is back with something for the Latino brothers called “Vato.” It has all the ingredients for a hit: hot beat, great concept, and star power with Que, Jeezy and of course YG dropping some bundles.

Next up, on this week’s edition of “As The West Coast Burns”, I got some new underground heat courtesy of LA rapper Blu. He doesn’t get the same airplay or notoriety  as Kendrick, Nipsey, Problem or Dom. But those who are up on game, know that Blu is one of the most respected MC’s in Cali. Need proof? Check out his latest track “The West.”

DJ Scream’s new song “Always” will guarantee a brawl in the club. For good measure, Scream made sure to bring along resident riot starters GunPlay, Que, Tracy T and the king of club brawl music, Waka. Enjoy

Freddie Gibbs is the hardest working MC in the Midwest and if he isn’t already, he should be on your radar. Never scared to push the envelope in his music, Gangsta Gibbs is back with something hot for those who don’t know. This time Gibb’s airs out Young Jeezy on his new track called “Real” (Remember Everybody Ain’t Loyal). Producer Mad Lib is the architect behind this neck breaking beat.
