Tyra Banks did not wake up like this, and she has no problem admitting that, either.
“Without makeup, I would have never been a supermodel,” she admitted to People. “I don’t wake up with naturally sculpted cheekbones — I paint them on! I believe makeup is the great beauty equalizer.”
Getting all prettied up is a process, and today, the long-legged model talked all about it in a new interview with the magazine just before launching her newest fashion foray: her very own cosmetics line called TYRA beauty.
“The creation of my cosmetics experience has been years in the making,” she says. “Do you know how good it feels to finally be able to tell the world why I attended Harvard Business School?! I truly learned how to master building and leading my own cosmetics experience.”
The line offers various products priced between $24 and $38, with “Tyover” stick-based cosmetics, “Smize” eye cosmetics, and “It Factory” lipsticks.
TYRA Beauty products can be purchased online or from independent contractors called “Beautytainers.”
“Our new beauty business is all about badassery. I’m approaching beauty differently: bigger, bolder, badder…We are accomplishing my ultimate dream: to give people the power to be their own boss while setting their dreams free.”
Sounds pretty fierce to us.
