A woman who fell unconscious during Monday night’s protest in Ferguson following the grand jury’s decision not to charge Darren Wilson for the death of Michael Brown was covered in tear gas as the crowd tried to get her to safety.

The incident was caught on tape by reporters, as the woman appeared to be having a heart attack. As the crowd tried to carry her to safety, police tossed a can of tear gas into the crowds while shooting rubber bullets.

“She’s having a heart attack,” one protestor shouted. “Help her, she needs help!”

Police began herding the group of people away and firing rubber bullets, repelling all but one woman. That woman continued toward the officers, shouting, “That’s my momma” repeatedly. Pool reports the officers then threw a tear gas canister “right into the crowd.”

About 61 people were arrested in Ferguson last night, while thousands of people gathered in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and other cities around the country to protest the grand jury’s decision.
