Stacey Dash, Paris Dennard and Ben Carson are just a few Black people who have been accused of automatically taking Donald Trump‘s side over any person that speaks out against him — especially their own fellow Black people.

Former baseball star Darryl Strawberry can also be added to that shady list after his recent comments about Jemele Hill. You may recall that Hill caught major heat for calling POTUS a White supremacist on Twitter earlier this week, and instead of defending his sister, Strawberry did what most athlete do when addressing racial controversy: kiss up to the WPIC ( White People In Charge).

During a Tuesday appearance on Fox Business’ Varney and Co., the MLB legend said, “I think no one should call anyone anything. President Trump, he’s a great man to me. He was always gracious to me. I really love him, his family, I was on his show and he’s always been kind to me. I’ve known him quite well and every time I’ve seen him and been around him, he’s always been so gracious with me and I’m always grateful for that.”

He continued, “When you’re pointing fingers at someone else, three are pointing back at you, so I never want to sit and point fingers at someone like the President of the United States. He’s got a job to do and we all need to pray for him and we all need to support him, that’s what we need to do.”

People like Strawberry tend to go by their personal experiences with Trump, versus his actions that speak loud and clear to what kind of man he is. Darryl’s stint on the Apprentice in 2010 probably has a lot to do with his fake love for the President.

Before ending the interview, Strawberry made it clear that he wants athletes “to really leave the politics alone.” Hopefully that’s including himself as well.
