It’s January 22nd and I want to know is it still New Year, new you?
I brought in the new year roaming around in the wilderness of Portland Oregon. During my vacation I decided to take advantage of the All-Wheel Drive on the 2018 Buick Enclave to explore the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Since the vehicle has an advanced set of safety features it really helped me deal with the giant rocks that were covered in the road on the Historic Columbia River Highway.
I did a 4 mile round trip hike to the Latourell Falls, the energy of waterfalls makes me feel like anything is possible. So it was there that I decided to make my goals for 2018. When I’m surrounded by nature I feel like I’m directly in the presence of God. Once I got to the base of the waterfall, I told myself this year I would be more creative, be a better person, talk to my family more and focus on my projects to propel them to a higher level.

While at the top of the waterfall, I added a new resolution, get warm. Icy hikes are indeed very cold. Thankfully the Enclave comes equip with heated seats to get me on the right track for 2018.
Since people tend to only talk about New Year’s Resolutions during the first week of the year. I’ve decided to check in with everyone to see how they’re doing. I know resolutions are hard to keep so I’m going share with you how I stay on track to achieving my yearly goals.
  • Stay Busy – It’s hard to fall off track when you’re constantly working towards a goal.
  • Small goals – I like to break big goals down into smaller goals. If you gotta drive 100 miles, first you gotta go 25 miles and so on before you get there. So break things down into attainable moments.
  • Deadlines – Give yourself a deadline for accomplishing your small goals, that way you’ll be one step closer to knocking down your big goal.
Here are some more highlights from my trip to Portland Oregon.

Once we hopped in the 2018 Buick Enclave, the first thing we needed to was grab a bite to eat. If you’re going to put the SUV’s high-feature 310 hp 3.6L V6 engine to the test you need to eat something.

We stopped by Tabor Bread in Portland. Known for being the best bread you can have outside of Paris, they truly lived up to their name.

Their Kale Biscuit is phenomenal. After eating this you can do many great things.

If you’re going to hike up icy muddy mountains you need a good shoe. I rocked the Chameleon 7 Mid Waterproof boots by Merrell which gave me a good amount of traction on the slippery terrain. It’s like I had AWD for my feet.

Obstacles will arise, just make sure you stay the course until you accomplish all of your goals.

Luxury and the life you want is attainable if you just do the work.
