Amanda Bynes hasn’t exactly been keeping a low profile. Though she is reportedly retired from acting, the 27-year-old frequently makes her presence known via Twitter and paparazzi sightings throughout Manhattan, where she lives.

According to RadarOnline, there’s a reason for Amanda’s outbursts: her drug use. The ex-child star “has used marijuana as a recreational user for several years,” says a source close to Bynes.
“Amanda’s increasingly disturbing behavior is related to the fact that she smokes pot. It makes her more paranoid and instead of mellowing her out, it does the opposite. Amanda begins talking faster and just can’t seem to sit still.”

She’s not exactly keeping the fact that she’s an avid smoker on the down low, either. Last September, while driving on a suspended license, Amanda was photographed smoking what appeared to be a marijuana pipe. More recently, the paparazzi photographed her smoking a joint while walking in Manhattan.
Management of a building Amanda formerly resided in also reportedly received several complaints of smoke coming from her apartment “morning, noon and night.”
Damn, girl! Take a breather.
Despite a recent Twitter rant in which Bynes disclosed that she is no longer in contact with her parents, Lynn and Rick, they are concerned about their daughter, but have run out of options. The source claims her parents are “powerless to do anything” and says, “there are no legal options available to them to help rescue their daughter.”
We hope one day Amanda gets the help she needs and can get back on track!
