Enough is enough!

Promising honor student Gabby Calhoun emerged from an Illinois Denny’s with broken teeth and cuts on her face, courtesy of the police.

A grand jury has indicted Calhoun, who insists she was not the aggressor. There was a fight in the Denny’s parking lot, but Calhoun says she and her friends were not involved. According to her account,

An officer grabbed her first, knocked her unconscious and then kept choking her after she woke up. She also claims that the officer said, “I don’t care if you have asthma” and forced her to walk across a crowded restaurant with her upper body in full view of other patrons.

The 5’5, 130 pound Calhoun graduated high school early and attends Wiley College on a singing scholarship. Her parents, who claim she has never even been to detention, as well as the university, are standing firmly behind her.

The police have been accused of misconduct and an investigation is underway. Her parents say that the police were racially profiling their daughter, and only implicating her because she and the women in the Denny’s parking lot altercation are the same race.

There is a video showing some of the interaction, but it has yet to be released to the public.
