Twerking just isn’t Harry Styles’ cup of tea.
The One Direction singer made it clear that that dance move that propelled Miley Cyrus to the top is not his thing.
“I think it’s quite inappropriate,” the singer told Moviefone. “Especially for the age groups it’s aimed at,” he added. “I think it’s, you know, promoting promiscuity.”
Harry, like many other A-listers, experienced twerking firsthand at the 2013 VMAs on August 25. A nearly-nude Miley hit the stage with oversized teddy bears and “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke to shake what her mama gave her. The super-sexy performance shocked just about everyone who saw it – including Kendrick Lamar.
But Harry couldn’t knock twerkin’ ’til he tried it for himself. In early August, he twerked it out on stage at the Teen Choice Awards with hosts Darren Criss and Lucy Hale by his side.
Twerking’s just not for everyone, we guess!
