Nina Dobrev, the Bulgarian-Canadian actress best known for her leading role on the CW’s hit show The Vampire Diaries, looked absolutely stunning in red and made us do a double take as she walked the red carpet at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards last night.

The enthusiastic actress/model has come a long way in her career in a very short time and GlobalGrind thought it high time to highlight Nina as the next big thing.
Not only is Miss Dobrev elegant, but she likes to get down and dirty and is an extremely talented snowboarder. Once over a break in filming, she kept in shape by doing her thing on her snowboard.
“Over Christmas, I had a break, and I didn’t go to the gym once, but I was in better shape than I am now, because for the first week, I was snowboarding every single day,” she said. “I went skating, I went in my friend’s pool, and I did everything you can possibly think of that was wintery and sporty, but I didn’t feel like I was working out even once. I was just having fun.”
Nina went from playing the role of the single teenage mother on Degrassi: The Next Generation, to currently starring as Elena Gilbert on the hit CW television teen series The Vampire Diaries, which has made her fan favorite for the regulars at Comic-Con and younger fans who are tuned into the vampire fad, a la Twilight.
For those who don’t know how Comic-Con works, Nina had some advice for how to make your time there successful.
“People are walking around in monster costumes, so lighten up. It can be intimidating, but at the end of the day the fans are there because they want to be and they want to hear what you have to say.”
Nina is one of the fastest growing stars in Tinseltown, so keep your eye on this one before she blows up big time.
