Iggy Azalea‘s year has gone from super sweet to super sour real quick. Iggy went from having one of the most successful singles of 2014, to being one of the most attacked artists of the year.
Now, the rapper is being threatened by a branch of the Anonymous hacker group, which says they’ll release an alleged sex tape of her if she doesn’t apologize to Azealia Banks. Iggy and Azealia have a long running rivalry that reached its peak earlier this month, when Banks criticized Iggy for not caring about black issues, such as the non-indictment of the NYPD officer who killed Eric Garner.
After Iggy clapped back in a cryptic message to Ms. Banks, an anonymous Twitter handle took the “212” singer’s side Friday night and told Iggy to apologize, or else. They tweeted:
@IGGYAZALEA, you have exactly 48 hours from now to release a statement apologizing to @AzealiaBanks and the protesters in NYC…” one of the threatening tweets from the @TheAnonMessage read. “You are guilty of misappropriating black culture, insulting peaceful protesters, and making light of Eric Garner’s death…There’s an X rated tape of you, we bet you’d certainly don’t want public, are we right? @IGGYAZALEA….and this is nothing. Comply or else.
Iggy has denied that any sex tape exists, but if we know anything, hackers are not to be played with.
